Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period

The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, from January 1 through March 31, is for individuals currently enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan.

During this period:

YOU CAN enroll in a different Medicare Advantage Plan (with or without drug coverage).
YOU CAN drop your Medicare Advantage plan and return to Original Medicare, adding a separate Part D Medicare drug plan and/or a Medicare Supplement plan, if you wish.
YOU CANNOT switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan.
YOU CANNOT join or switch a Medicare Part D drug plan if you only have Original Medicare.

You can only make one change during the Medicare Advantage OEP and any change will go into effect on the first day of the month following the month you make a change.
